Equalities and Social Justice
Reports focus on the equalities impact of privatization and outsourcing in the public sector and policy recommendations strengthening the case for a Public Sector Equality duty, and more recently the Socio Economic Duty, designed to reduce inequalities and protect marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
Local authorities will be required to identify the strategic decisions they will have to take and to identify inequalities of outcome caused by socio-economic disadvantage and to monitor the impact over the longer term.
Establishing links with other duties could improve the integration of services and functions and to empower people and communities.
